Hindu girl tells Supreme Court she would rather die than convert to Islam
by Jibran Khan
Seized by an influential Muslim, with the "political cover" of an elected official, 19 year old Rinkel Kumari launches a desperate appeal to the courts. “Justice is denied Hindus in Pakistan” and therefore asks to" kill me here "in the courtroom. The family, after reporting to police, forced to leave the village in Sindh. Each year there are 300 forced marriages and conversions

Islamabad (AsiaNews) - "In Pakistan there is justice only for Muslims, justice is denied Hindus. Kill me here, now, in court. But do not send me back to the Darul-Aman [Koranic school] ... kill me". This is the desperate, heartbreaking outburst of Rinkel Kumari, a Hindu girl aged 19, who has entrusted her heartfelt appeal to the judges of the Supreme Court in Islamabad. Her story is similar to that of many other young women and girls belonging to religious minorities - Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Ahmadis - kidnapped by extremist groups or individuals, most of the time lords or local mafia, which convert them by force and then marry them . And that is what the girl said on 26 March, before the judges of the capital's court.

The drama of Rinkel Kumari, a student of Mirpur Mathelo, a small village in the province of Sindh, began the evening of February 24: A handful of men seized her and delivered her a few hours later into the hands of a wealthy Muslim scholar, the man then called her parents, warning them that their daughter "wants to convert to Islam."

Nand Lal, the girl's father, a teacher of an elementary school, accused Naveed Shah, an influential Muslim, of kidnapping his daughter. The man has the "political cover" provided by Mian Mittho, an elected National Assembly Member, suspected of aiding and abetting. After identifying the perpetrators of the kidnapping of his daughter, he was forced to leave the area of origin to escape the threats of people affiliated with the local mafia. The father found refuge and welcome in Gurdwara in Lahore, in Punjab province, with the rest of his family.

As often happens in these cases, even the judiciary is complicit: a local judge ordered that the girl should be given to the Muslims, because her conversion is "the result of a spontaneous decision" and also stated the marriage was above board. A claim that was repeated on February 27, at the hearing before the court, after which the girl was "renamed" Faryal Shah.

However, the story of Rinkel is not an isolated case: every month between 25 and 30 young people suffer similar abuses, for a yearly total of about 300 conversions and forced marriages. Hindu girls - but also Christian - who are torn from their family and delivered into the hands of their husbands / torturers.

On March 26, she appeared before the judges of the Supreme Court in Islamabad, while the Hindu community waited with bated breath for the girl's statements in court. To avoid pressure, the presiding judge ordered the courtroom cleared and - later - the dramatic testimony was relayed: in Pakistan, "there is no" justice, "kill me here but do not send me back" to the kidnappers.

Speaking to AsiaNews Fr. Anwar Patras, the Diocese of Rawalpindi, condemned "with force" the kidnapping and forced conversion. "The Hindus in Sindh - adds the priest - live a hard life. The reality is getting harder for them, they are forced to migrate because the state is unable to protect them and their property.

A: V V K, and to all the Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, and the many others, please, look at yourself first before spreading lies agains Islam.
Not all Muslims are perfect, and there are some bad ones, and so in all the other religions I mensioned above.
It is a silly and stupid thing to choose one religion for your attack and not bring the bad stories for those who are in your religion while they are hundred of times more.

CNN news -Sunday , on GPS/ Farid Zakaria program [any one can log on this and find the truth. A pannel of four discusion mentioned:

USA the largest Christian country in the word, which represent only 5 % of the world population, hold in its jail 25 % of the criminal of the world !!!!

In the chart they provided it shows the United States on top, and then, Russia, Mexico, Italy, Germany, France, England and many other countries from China to India to South Africa, and there is not even one Muslim country among the long list !!!???

If you read carefully the history of the world for the last 2000 years, you will see clearly that the crimes of killing and destroying and burning people alive, and rapes etc. etc.....

While the discrimination against the blacks in the US and many othe Christian countries still going on even today and in the 21st century , no one mentioned on this site, and raping children in the churches by the priests never mentioned at all but all you go to bring a story of one girl in Pakistan that she will not accept Islam as a big deal because you want to show Islam as a bad religion, forgetting that more than 50 000 of Christian and Hindu and Buddhists accepting the religion of Isla every year , and most of them are women, and they are men and women with a very high education. [you can go to YOUTUBE and watch them talking about why the choose Islam after they search all other religion.

Also, look at the HIV spreading all around the world, you will see that this virous started manly in NON-MUSLIM countries, and spread mostly in the NON-MUSLIM coutries , in America, Africa, Europe, and south east Asia. Millions are infected, and millions died, and millions of children are suffering, but for all that means nothing, but a Hindu girl in Pakistan is a very big deal !!!!.

Wake up V V K, and use your brain to see the real truth, and then judge Islam as a religion comparing it with the others , not using one person story to attack Islam and Muslims.

V V K, Did you ever hear about what happen to the Palestinians in their own country and they been dicrimated and jailed and killed and their homes destroyed but people comming from all around the world claiming that god gave them the land 3500 years ago, can any one with human brain believe such a stupid claim ????. Is it a crime or what ????

My new next post will come soon about "THE NEVER ENDING LIES", I hope you will read it, because it will represent facts from the past till this time.

Epidemics: AIDS Cases Increasing in Muslim Countries

AIDS is on the rise in many Muslim countries, driven by men having sex with other men in secret because of homophobia, religious intolerance and fear of being jailed or executed, according to a new study.

The new report, released last week in the journal PLoS Medicine, was led by researchers from the Qatar branch of Weill Cornell Medical College who drew from dozens of smaller studies in Arabic, French and English.

About 2 to 3 percent of men in the region have sex with other men, consistent with global averages, the study found. But condom use is low, gay and bisexual prostitution is common, and many married men hide their bisexuality and risk infecting their wives. In some countries, even male prostitutes often marry for appearances’ sake.

Truck drivers, prisoners and street children often engage in risk behaviors for H.I.V. infection; in Pakistan, infection rates are rising rapidly among transgender prostitutes known as hijra.

The lowest rates of condom use were reported in populous countries like Egypt and Pakistan, while they were highest in Sudan (above), Oman and Lebanon.

To fight their nascent epidemics, some countries have adopted compulsory H.I.V. testing for marriage licenses and work visas.

Accurate statistics on some aspects of health are hard to get from governments in some Middle Eastern countries. For example, international health authorities say that the world’s highest rates of birth defects are in Muslim countries where cousins sometimes marry, but that governments are reluctant to admit it.

A: HIV & the Muslim World
HIV/AIDS AND THE MUSLIM WORLD
Prevalence is already relatively high in many African and Asian countries with large Muslim populations. ....

.... It is difficult to gage the true scale and magnitude of the problem in these countries owing to the lack of systematic surveillance of population infection rates. Many national HIV statistics do not tend to reflect the extent of the disease in individual cities or towns and testing itself is done on a limited basis. The picture that emerges from this is one of wide-scale under reporting of HIV. One report from UNAIDS shows, HIV rates are growing in several Muslim countries including in Algeria, Iran, Libya, and Morocco.

It is believed the HIV virus first became common in North African, Middle Eastern, and Asian Muslim societies through injecting drugs users, homosexuals, and sex workers before spreading into the general community. Most HIV infections in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region are occurring in men and in urban areas (UNAID).

Unprotected paid sex is a key factor in the transmission of HIV throughout the region. However it is the exposure to contaminated drug injecting equipment that is the main route of HIV transmission in Afghanistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya and Tunisia, and contributes to the epidemics of Algeria, Morocco and the Syrian Arab Republic.

A: The newest phase of the global AIDS pandemic is the unfolding of the contagion across the great Islamic expanse. In the years immediately ahead, the HIV/AIDS pandemic threatens to wash through the Muslim world. The disease will exact a grim toll in a number of vulnerable populations living within volatile polities—places unlikely to cope well with the significant new social stresses and economic burdens brought on by HIV/AIDS.

The Muslim world consists of more than fifty countries in which forty percent or more of the populace practices some form of Islam. It stretches across three continents and encompasses many hundreds of cultures. From Albania and Turkey in Europe, across countries bordering the Sahara in Northern Africa, and through the Persian Gulf and South Asia to Malaysia and Indonesia in the east, the Muslim world is home to over one billion people.

A: FIRST CASESE OF HIV/AIDS WAS FROM MUSLIM WORLD, NOW IS BECAME NEW UNCURE DISEASE FOR THE WHOLE HUMAN WORLD.

HIV/AIDS in the Muslim World

The Muslim world consists of 1.3 billion people spread mainly across three continents. With such a wide scope, it is perhaps surprising that more attention has not been paid to the spread of HIV/AIDS in the Muslim world. AEI’s Nicholas Eberstadt recently released a report with Laura M. Kelley on the spread of the disease in this overlooked population and discussed their findings at a July 8 AEI conference.

Part of the reason that there has not been more discussion about HIV/AIDS in the Muslim world is that statistics are not always readily available, and many figures are unreliable. The Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) puts the number of total infected in North Africa, the Middle East, and Muslim Asia at 1 million. Eberstadt and Kelley called these figures gravely understated and added that no data exists for Afghanistan, Turkey, or Somalia—all countries with large at-risk populations, according to the authors. Poor testing rates of many countries also keep figures inaccurately low.

The first cases of HIV/AIDS in this part of the world were officially recorded in the mid-1980s in Bahrain, Qatar, Iran, and several other Muslim states. Eberstadt and Kelley blamed the inaction following these diagnoses in part on the assumption that “premarital sex, adultery, prostitution, homosexuality, and intravenous drug use” do not occur in the Muslim world because of its strict codes of morality. Examples of such denial by governments include Islamic clergy in Nigeria urging Muslims to boycott a U.S.-backed HIV/AIDS seminar in 2001 for fear that attendance would increase promiscuity and a claim by Pakistan’s National AIDS Control Programme that the country’s low rate of infection was due to its superior “social and Islamic values.”

The absence of democratic governments among some Muslim nations hinders the delivery of treatment and prevention services to at-risk populations, even when governments admit the existence of the disease. Eberstadt and Kelley wrote that while the ideal human society envisioned by the Koran contains neither drug abuse nor prostitution, many Muslim societies lack the required “civic assistance” to fight these existing social ills that facilitate the spread of HIV. Citizens within these societies often cannot count on their governments to provide social services to prevent the spread of disease or to care for the sick.

Some level of success has been achieved, however, in countries that have been willing to face up to the epidemic. Although infection still carries a stigma in Iran, the government has nonetheless made some progress in confronting the disease. Eberstadt and Kelley found that until 2001, HIV-positive workers could be fired from their jobs and that hospitals and doctors could still refuse to treat patients with the virus as late as 2002. Today, HIV education has become part of the curriculum in many public schools, and couples must attend lectures on how to prevent the disease before marrying. Needle-exchange programs have also been implemented, particularly in high-use drug areas of Tehran.

Bangladesh has also made considerable strides in prevention and education among hard-to-reach populations. The Bandhu Social Welfare Society has brought safer-sex education to thousands of gay and bisexual men, and HIV/AIDS awareness programs have even been taught in mosques. Groups such as the Islamic Foundation, the Islamic Medical Mission, and the UN Development Programme have launched programs to educate religious leaders to deliver prevention education to their followers.

While these efforts outpace the efforts of many other Muslim countries, Eberstadt and Kelley contrasted efforts in Thailand and South Africa to demonstrate what can be accomplished in fighting the disease. Despite low official incidence of HIV/AIDS in Thailand, Thai officials launched an aggressive anti-HIV education campaign in the 1990s, spreading education to all sectors, from the school to the brothel. By contrast, South African prevention and education programs have only gotten underway in the last five years. As a result, the infection rate in Thailand has remained at less than 5 percent while 25 percent of the South African population is now infected, according to UNAIDS.

Eberstadt and Kelley remain hopeful that other countries can adopt education and prevention programs like those undertaken in Thailand and currently in use in Iran. They write that “conservative and fundamentalist regimes can find ways to harness their religious piety as a means to help deal with urgent social need,” suggesting that messages can be crafted to show that caring for the sick and at-risk populations is consistent with notions of Muslim virtue. Programs to raise women out of poverty can help prevent more people from becoming commercial sex workers and therefore putting themselves at risk. With the help of Western nations, pharmaceutical care and the public health infrastructure required to deliver this care can be expanded and have a real impact in stopping the spread of the disease in the Muslim world.

{The truth, which you did not admit , and which I pointed to in my post that the AIDS was STARTED IN AFRICA WITHE THE CHRISTIAN POPULATION AND THEN EXPORTED TO AMERICA AND FROM THERE TO EUROPE AND SOUTH EAST ASIA, AND ALL THOSE COUNTRIES ARE CHRISTIAN OR BUDDHIST COUNTRIES, that was log before the start of AIDS in any Muslim country. AID WAS INTRODUCED [IMPORTED] by the rich men from the Muslim coutries who go [MAINLY] to Thailand as tourism to by SEX and have good time on the butiful resorts which are full of young girl which they are sold by their families to get income, to by motorbike, car or house etc. many from the GOLF REGION go there evry years telling their wives that their trip for bussiness .

Also, some go to Florida or California and leave their wives and children for few day in hotels while going for SEX trips and there are many run businesses for the corporate or rich people , and that is how the virous spead. Let us not forget the many places in EUROPE too.

The TIME MAGAZINE wrote about this, and that is when I know the truth about my very rich freind from Kuwait who goes at least twicw a year to Thailand and Honkong telling his wife and his freinds that he is doing business !!!.

AND, you wrote:
Thailand has remained at less than 5 percent while 25 percent of the South African population is now infected, according to UNAIDS.
Thailand : 5% of 70 millions = 3.5 mil. with AIDS [Buddhist]
South Africa : 25% 0f 46 millions = 11,5 mil. with AIDS [Christians]

MY question:
According to UNAIDS there are a list for all the countries of the world , and the number of people who are infected with AIDS, and the history of AIDS in all the countries, even the Arab and Muslim countries, SO, why you did not bring the list of all the countries to see the whole truth.

The main point which I want to reveal is that the AIDS is originated and spread first in Africa, in Christian countries [Iveory Cost - Liberia], and moved to America and Europe and South East Asia long before hitting the Muslim countries.

AND, you wrote:
AIDS is on the rise in many Muslim countries, driven by men having sex with other men in secret because of homophobia, religious intolerance and fear of being jailed or executed, according to a new study.

My answer, if that happen will be e very, very small number even to mention [because you said it youraelf , "RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE - JAILED OR EXECUTED".
While in the Christian and Buddhist and Hindu coutries you see such wrong behaviour in the open. For example in the US and Canada there are bars and restaurants where men can find a male sex partner, and a woman can find a female sex partner. and those men and women are in the millions in the Christian world, and there is no laws against it but at the least there are laws in Islam to protect the people from the spread of this virous and others.

The Catholic priests if they can find a man for sex they go after the children, and what goes in the churches happen to the Buddhist priest, and that was clear to me after watching a program on the travel channel about the Buddhist in the islan of "CELEBES" in Indonesia where they regard those men who provides and performs sex to other men as of highly status !!!

I think that show you the truth, and that you are no more than one who hate Islam and try to spread as much lies as you can while hinding the real truth. There are million like you all around the world like you.
Many Christians who came to know the truth about Christianity spoke about it, this religion is built on lies from the time of the first and greatest liar PAUL, and whent on by telling people of the four Gospels and they been written by, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, while they were written by unknown scibes etc.
You should read the works ao many among them Bart Ehrman, and the many others who took Islam .
