Hello, guest
Name: Nate  •  Title: THE "DISCIPLE WHOM JESUS LOVED" IDENTIFIED!  •  Date posted: 05/21/07 1:50
Q: The identity of this disciple in not a secret. or a mystery! The identity of this person is plainly stated in the gospel of John. So, I find the speculation on this matter rather surprising and odd. Read the gospel of John chapter 11 verses 3 and 36. Case closed:

1Now a certain man was sick, named LAZARUS, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

2(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother LAZARUS was sick.)

3Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, HE WHOM THOU LOVEST is sick....

36Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

A: No Nate, the case isn't closed ---- it is open for speculation.

Yes, Jesus loved Lazarus, and he also loved the sister of Lazarus, Mary Magdalene. In fact it could be speculated that the beloved disciple is Mary Magdalene. Further, I believe that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married. According to one of the Gnostic gospels, it was Mary Magdalene that Jesus was always kissing on the mouth, and it was Mary that the other desciples were a bit jealous of, because Jesus gave her more attention.

Yes, I do believe the Gnostic gospels.

Peace and Love,
