Q: its too bad that the Catholic Church doesn't still sell time off from purgatory! While they are still the richest religion in the world, they could always get richer, but to do so now would cause a bit of an uproar, dont you think?
Or would it? To have a major global power like the church selling time off from purgatory, how many people would line up with cheque books in hand?
Jesus really was a herder, and there will always be sheep waiting to be guided.
The point is that the church is like any other major player in the world, they like money. They've done so much worse than hide crucial parts of history to protect their interests. Money is the name of game...the rules are power and who has it.

A: Rereading this post I realize that it sounds more like a rant than a valid perspective. Let me try again..
There are many people who would question the reasons that integral parts of history, especially those that directly affect the church and its flock, have been hidden and are still being hidden. The church is extraordinarily wealthy, financially, and for a truth to be revealed that could threaten its income, thats more than they are willing to allow. So I don't think the truth, the whole truth, will ever be revealed.

A: Money.......Since when did our Creator (?????) by all definition) need Money...... Just look at all those TV Evangelisticccccccc along with the Crystal Palaces, Oral Roberts, Benny Hinn, Pat Robertson., etc etc etc.....along with any/all Organized(Crime) Religious Churches, Temples, Mosque, etc etc etc........How fortunate their stomachs don't look empty? They all have the best medical/dental health care? Tens of thousand square foot houses, very large private planes, boats, handmade suits, dresses, shoes, chauffeurs, maids, gardeners etc etc etc......Then why does the CREATOR need $$$$$$$??????/

A: Um.. creator? Are you saying you think that the church and the creator are one and the same? My post clearly states that the CHURCH is all about money. If you are saying that the church is wrong for taking money on behalf of a creator and that is ridiculous because the creator does not need money, then I agree. In my opinion the RC church is a man made religion, created for men.

A: OMG a conspiracy!??!?!?!

THAT makes much more sense than the more simple explaination that Simcha (a non-scientist) and his cronies fabricated evidence, witheld critical data, and cherry picked history to creat a media driven hype resulting in their book being in the top 5 best sellers on amazon.

You are guilty of drinking the same kool aid you accuse Christians of. You just prefer lime to cherry. Wake up and realize that the $$$ you speak of DOES dictate everything in this world. Including Simcha and his non-science. Wake up. You are not special.

A: good grief... LOL a conspiracy...
Not EVERYTHING is about money, sometimes the truth needs to be told. Even if it hurts.

And I don't accuse anyone of anything. The biggest problem I have with Christianity (as a religion, not you as a person) is the need for recruitment, or when recruitment is impossible because god forbid someone else should be confident in their own non-christian beliefs, then rocks are thrown and those people are shunned are insulted. I feel for those who follow blindly without questions. I question everything, my favorite word is WHY. I welcome questions about my path and my beliefs. I don't get my panties in a bunch and start flinging wild accusations and insults because I don't get defensive about my beliefs, I welcome debate.

I am special, so are you. There's nothing wrong with being special, even those who belong to large groups are individuals. No one is this world is exactly the same, thank the gods.
