Q: It seems clear that all of this has fallen on two very different sides. On one side there are those who are logical sound minded and believe it fact that believe this to be true, and hope that it is because that type of person would love to see evidence that Christ existed. Then theirs the religeous side that wants to stick to the faith and believe what the bible says as, pardon the pun, "the gospil truth". They feel they have to take the bible at its word entirely without room for doubt or ther faith is shaken at its core. These people have been taught to believe that Christ asscended and that he could never have married or died as a normal human being.

Personaly i welcome any proof that at least some of the things in the bible happend including the his existance.

A: There are actually Roman and Hebrew records of Jesus' existance. The Romans recorded His trial, sentence and reports of His not being in the original tomb along with the death sentences handed down to the Roman guards who were assigned to guard against His body being removed from it. The Jewish historian Josephus also mentions Him in his writing "Antiquities of the Jews".

A: The problem is, is that there is no debate. Jesus tomb backed up by the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls is an astounding testimony that Jesus was just a man. The mentioning of Jesus in Josephus has been agreed on by Bible scholars themselves, that zealous Christians (much like today) added the words in, that mentions Jesus. Josephus was a Jew and did not accept the idea what Christianity came to be, which is really not ! Josephus was a Jewish historian and recorded Jewish history.
